The Ordos Museum (Chinese鄂尔多斯博物馆) is a museum in KangbashiOrdosInner MongoliaChina.The museum, which houses collections relating to the local history of Ordos and the surrounding area, was designed by Chinese design company MAD at the request of the local government and built by Huhehaote Construction.[1] It is a large, open-plan space of around 41,000 square feet; the design was influenced by both the Gobi desert and the work of Buckminster Fuller.[2][3] The museum has six levels of exhibition space.[4]

It houses a collection of artefacts from the archaeological culture. It is located in Liangzhu, in the northwestern outskirts of Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province, China.[1]The museum was designed by David Chipperfield Architects and completed in 2007.[2][3] The site was previously a contaminated industrial site, and has been landscaped into a park by Levin Monsigny Landschaftsarchitekten,[4] with hills and manmade streams.[5] The project took five years to design and construct, and was developed in conjunction with ZTUDI, the Architectural Design and Research Institute at Zhejiang University of Technology.[4]
