Modular Museum Display Cases

Specially tailored for travelling exhibition or the temporary exhibition, modular museum display cases|showcases|display cabinets|vitrines not only serve as an individual display unit but also can be combined to new structure of display cases such as L-shape, T-shape, cross shape etc. With all the parts to be exchangable, modular display cases can be easily demounted and reassembled by the end users.

Description

To be specially tailored to meet travelling exhibition or the temporary exhibition that need to exchange exhibits frequently, modular museum display cases|showcases|display cabinets|vitrines not only can serve as an individual display system but also can be jointed and combined to new structure of display cases such as L-shape, T-shape, cross shape etc. so as to get larger and special-shaped display space. No any compromise on the security, stability and airtight-ness come to this design.Easy demounting and reassembly makes modular display cases be applicable to flexible exhibition demand.

GLASS FOR DISPLAY COMPARTMENT

① Ultra-clear glass panels with low iron content or anti-reflective glass with reflectivity less than 1% and light transmittance over 97%.
② 5+1.52+5mm laminated glass with 4 layers high-intensity PVB interlayers for glass safety in compliance with EN356-P4A.
③ Glass panels to be fabricated at high precision with tolerance less than ±0.01mm and with 45° chamfering on glass edges.
④ Glass panels to be bonded with neutral UV clear adhesive/colored curing agent & UV bonding technology for building transparent display space.

METALWORK

① Vibration-proof skeleton to be constructed by 40*40*2~3mm cold-formed structural steel with low carbon, zero-oxygen & seamless welding.
② The trunk of lower metal plinth to be constructed by 2~3mm high-strength weatherproof steel sheet with low carbon content.
③ Special Aluminium Alloy #6063-T6 with strength F22 for extrusion profile for glass receiving and sealing.
④ All the metalwork to be resistant to corrosion.

INTERIOR

① MDF for interior to be zero-formaldehyde and E0 class rating, with overall sides to be sealed by certified eco-friendly neutral sealant like Moistop or equivalent.
② The dressing fabric to dress sealed MDF panels to be certified with Oddy test or equivalent , and the test of pH value, color fastness and fire proof.
③ The surface of all the exposed metal within interior space to be treated with inert, eco-friendly, water-proof and durable powder coater.
④ The certified glass sealant & curing agent like Dow Corning or equivalent exposed in interior to be neutral with no harmful VOCs emission.
⑤ The sealing gasket for openable glass doors to be made of two-component neutral silicone.

MICRO-CLIMATE ENVIRONMENT

① No harmful VOCs emission from inert and eco-friendly building materials.
② Well airtightness with minimal air exchange not more than 0.1 per 24 hours to prevent outside dust, pets or pollutants from entering into display space.
③ Based on ②, silica gel cassettes for passive Relative Humidity control between 40%-60% to be located within concealed and discrete compartments, or electronic mode of microclimate control system for active Relative Humidity between 15-85% with ±2% tolerance and temperature control with integrated air filtering system to be equipped in the independent facility chamber of lower metal plinth. Active microclimate control system is able to be remote monitored and controlled as all the real-time data of RH and temperature can be conveyed through WLAN or cable to a central computer or other terminal control devices.

OPENING SOLUTIONS

① The door mechanism covers a usage cycle of 2,000,000 applications of openings and corresponding locking.
② Manual swinging opening via concealed hinge mechanism, the opening system allows 100% access for easy exhibit mounting.
③ Hinge mechanisms of modular display cases are exchangable and demountable.

SECURITY & SAFETY

① The openable glass door(s) to be locked and secured by museum grade high-security mechanical locks like Abloy locks or equivalent, sufficient to resist forced entry, and conforming to EN 1303:2005. All the keys to be officially registered and authorized with exchange rate not less than 1/1,300,000,000.00. Master key system to be available for two-factor security.
② Vibration/contact/ultrasonic alarms etc. to be fitted to enhance security.

LIGHTING SYSTEM

① All lighting fixtures, components and wiring to conform to all relevant IEEE regulations,
② Internal lighting levels to be controllable to achieve levels between <50 – 500 lux, CRI≥90, color temperature between 3000K~4000K
③ Ultra-Violet radiation of LED lighting fixtures to be less than 75 µW/lm (microwatts per lumen), no risk of heat build-up within display space.
④ The integrated internal LED lighting fixtures to be dimmable from zero up and to 100% (using 0-10v rotary dimmer).
⑤ The operation and maintenance of lighting system to be carried out independently with no disturbance to internal display space.

EXTERNAL FINISH

① All the exposed metal work including exterior steel cladding panels to be treated with inert, eco-friendly, water-proof and durable powder coater with thickness not less than 50μ with a deviation less than -10%
② According to exhibition design or exhibition demands, the external cladding panels can be built by solid surface materials like Corian or equivalent.
③ According to exhibition design or exhibition demands, the external cladding panels can be built by painted ZF-MDF or solid wood or brushed stainless steel.
